Dr. Webster founded the Comprehensive Center for Digestive and Nutritional Disorders in 1980 and built the Imhotep Health and Video Complex, LLC in 2004. The Imhotep Health and Video Complex, LLC is a “one of a kind” visionary leap for healthcare institutions. Dr. Webster recognizes the unique synergies that exist between the provision of the optimal healthcare and the unlimited capabilities of Visual Technology as a learning tool. Imhotep houses the Webster Surgical Center, LLC, which is an Ambulatory Surgical Center that provides outpatient surgical procedures in an AAHC Certified, state of the art setting. The Webster Surgical Center, LLC is the only African American owned ASC dedicated to Endoscopic Surgical in North Florida. The Webster Surgical Center, LLC, is in collaboration with the University of Texas at Houston. Mayo Clinic-Rochester, University of Tokyo and other institutions of higher learning in the United States of America – not the least of which includes our own Florida A&M University – College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Schools of Allied Health and Public Health. Dr Webster has made it his life-long mission to close the gap in health disparities in the minority community through his non-profit organization the Institute for African American Health, Inc (IAAH). The IAAH seeks to eliminate the health disparities amongst African-Americans and minority populations through advocacy, education, research and improved clinical care. Dr. Webster has spent over 25 years his medical career focusing on childhood obesity, colon cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, black infant mortality and developmental disabilities amongst minorities. Currently, Dr. Webster serves on numerous boards including serving as Chairman for the Bond Community Health Center. He also serves as a trustee for the National Medical Association. Recently, Dr. Webster was named Community Healthcare Pioneer by the Florida Department of Health – Office of Minority Health. |
